Sunday School: PreK-5th Grade students are invited to attend classes right after the Time of Young Christians/Children’s Message each Sunday. Through singing, Bible stories, hands-on-activities, and child-friendly themes, our youngest Christians will have faithful and fun-filled experiences that are tangible, applicable, and meaningful to children’s everyday lives. Christmas Pageant
We are pleased to announce that preparations for our annual Children’s Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 21st, are underway.
To help us bring the Christmas story to life, we are seeking volunteers, particularly teens and children, for narrator roles and general support.
Practices are scheduled as follows:
- Sunday mornings during Sunday School from 10:15-10:45 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 3 at 6 p.m. during Faith Food Fun
- Saturday, December 20 at 10 a.m. for the final rehearsal
If you or your child are interested in volunteering, please inform Shelly at your earliest convenience.
Sunday Funday for all Generations: On select third Sundays, gather after worship at 10:30 a.m. in Baker Hall for refreshment, fellowship and great fun with faith formation activities for all ages. Each Sunday Funday is a different theme based on a bible story, a particular season or mission related project.

Children's Music Programing

Wesley Singers: Children (1st-8th grade), Kathy Olivarez, Director
Rehearsals for the Wesley Singers are on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:00 p.m. They sing in church once a month October-May. The ensemble is open to boys and girls 1st-8th grade. Choir members will learn to use the hymnal, read music notation and sing in harmony. Rehearsals begin September 18th.
Chapel Chimes: Children (2nd-8th grade), Kathy Olivarez, Director
Rehearsals for the Chapel Chimes are on Wednesdays from 5-5:30 p.m. They play in church once a month October-May. The ensemble is open to boys and girls grades 2-8. Ringers will learn to read music notation, learn hand chime techniques and perform as an ensemble. No prior experience is required but a commitment to weekly rehearsals is necessary. Rehearsals begin September 18th.
Nursery
We welcome you and your small children to our Nursery at Baker Memorial UMC. Our Nursery room is available and is located on the lower level.
All toys and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized each week and between services. Baker Memorial UMC follows a Safe Sanctuaries Policy for volunteers and staff along with background checks. Nursery workers maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification.
