We are excited to partner with the St. Charles Arts Council and artist Amanda Browder to help bring about a unique, truly public, art installation. Under the direction and with the help of Amanda Browder a rather large quilt is to be constructed at Baker Memorial UMC using fabric donated by and pinned and sewn together by the community, together! What an awesome opportunity to be a part of the public arts in partnership with other members of St. Charles. No experience is needed! Amanda is committed to be here at Baker almost the entire month of August, beginning August 4th with planned completion on August 19th and aims to make this an artist led but community driven experience.

The finished art will decorate the new addition to the Municipal Center in downtown St. Charles. There are many ways to participate in this rare chance to make public art: donate fabric, sign up to pin fabric squares together, volunteer to sew fabric squares.
