Middle & High School"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
Come join us!
Baker Memorial UMC offers many opportunities for youth to be involved in the life of the church. Activities include Zoom Sundays for middle and high school youth, Youth Retreats, Work Trips, youth choirs, groups for middle and high schoolers, Sunday School and Youth Fellowship programs. BakerYouth meet to play games, discuss current topics and learn about their faith and each other.
Where and What …
Middle school students attend classes and use the XP3 curriculum supplemented by Methodist material. This provides these younger students with a firm foundation in the major Bible stories that shape not only Christianity but the Methodism faith, and helps them learn what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
High school students gather in the Youth Center each week for a study designed to increase their ability to “think theologically,” that is, to bring together their faith with their experiences in the world. Looking at Scripture, using reason and experience tradition, the students learn to look for God and make ethical choices.
