Journey to Easter

Welcome! We have a variety of events, programs, and services for all ages to take you through your Lent journey.

Faith, Food, & Fun on Wednesday, April 5 from 5:30-7pm
We welcome you to join us on for an inspired night for all ages. Come together on first Wednesdays and share a meal, grow in faith, and do an activity. The theme this month is Walk the Walk. Begins with dinner at 5:30. Free will offering.

Road to Easter Family Fun on Friday, April 7 from 10:30am-Noon
Join the Children & Family Ministry for this hands-on Easter event. Families will travel the Road to Easter together, and learn about Holy Week as they go room to room. Along the way, we will gather the ingredients for a tasty treat. We’ll enjoy a quick lunch and end things with an Easter egg hunt. Bring your own basket, if you’d like! The cost is $5 per person. Tri-City Maundy Thursday Service on Thursday, April 6 at 7pm
Location: Batavia UMC, 8 N. Batavia Ave., Batavia
Come for a Communion Service with Geneva, Batavia and Baker Memorial United Methodist Churches

Good Friday Service on Friday, April 7 at 7pm
Worship service that includes the Chancel Choir and a selection of sacred music telling the story of Christ’s life and crucifixion.

Easter Sunday Services on Sunday, April 9 at 8, 9:30, and 11am
We welcome you to one of our three in-person Easter worship services. Or view our online video service anytime. Note: ReCharge will not be meeting this day.

Easter Flower Orders

If you would like to order Easter flowers in memory of or in thanksgiving for, click the button below to connect to the order form. The flowers will be used to decorate the altar and sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Flower options include Easter Lily, Azales, Hydrangea, and Begonia. Orders may be placed through March 26. Available while supplies last.

Adult ReCharge Groups

Get plugged in and ReCharge with small groups. Here is what’s being offered for adults during Lent. Groups begin the week of February 26th.

  • The Walk hosted by Allan McCurdy. In The Walk, Adam Hamilton focuses on five essential spiritual practices that are rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God and taught throughout the New Testament. Each of these practices is intended as part of our daily walk with Christ while also being an essential part of growing together in the church. The group meets at 10:30am on Sunday mornings and 7pm on Tuesday evenings via Zoom. Please register for the online class here
  • Walk With Wesley hosted by Pastor Mary. For all newcomers and those who would like to brush up on a primer of Methodism. This class tells the story of John Wesley’s conversion to Methodism and the principals that shaped our faith practices—a Primer for practicing our faith. Meets at 10:30am on Sunday mornings.
  • Faith and the News provides an opportunity for thoughtful conversation about contemporary topics in today’s news from a Christian perspective.
  • Learn to Play the Mountain Dulcimer  NOTE: CLASS IS FULL  Mike and Laurel will share their gift of music as they teach you the basic skills you need to play this charming instrument. Meets at 10:30am on Sunday mornings.
